 Bim and Janas Strauser are the owners and operators of the 66 Ranch.  We have been raising cattle, horses, and kids since 1979.  Both of our families are 3^rd and 4^th generation Montanans with strong ties to agriculture, raising both cattle and horses, and rodeo.                                                                                                    

Because of our strong ties with ranching, it is our goal to raise willing, quiet horses, that have the speed and structural soundness to work both on the ranch and in the arena.  We feel that in order to be successful, our horses need to be versatile. 

 To accomplish this goal, we have developed a program that uses an Easy Jet, Jet Deck influence.  We were lucky enough to have had a son of Easy Jet, Easy Cruiser.  We are now    crossing our Easy Jet granddaughters back, with our new exciting stallion, Dash in My Glass.  The Dash For Perks, Raise Your Glass cross will add a nice outcross for our Easy Jet bred mares.   Our horses are raised and trained with soundness and longevity in mind. 

Our cattle operation is what helps make our horse operation work.    We raise hardy Red Angus cattle.  We like our cattle to be able to thrive in the harsh weather conditions Montana can provide.  It is our goal that our calves have lower birth weights for calving ease, and still weigh up in the fall.    They need to meet the needs of the feeders and hang a profitable carcass.  Our females work overtime in an environment that receives only 10 inches of rain annually.    We except them to calve on time, raise a quality calf, maintain body condition and rebreed.  They must also have a quiet disposition.
